Cabernet Sauvignon

blackwood canyon • red mountain ava 2024

Planted in 1983, these 40+ year old vines grow on Red Mountain's  coveted southwest-facing slope in volcanic silt loam soils. Red Mountain  AVA receives nearly two hours more direct sunlight daily than Napa  Valley. Sandy loess soils, strong winds, and a 45°F diurnal swing produce  wines of remarkable concentration, structure, and longevity.

Dark, inky, nearly opaque. Blackberry preserves, dark plum, and cassis open  the nose, deepening into espresso, raw cacao, and dark chocolate. Boutès adds  baking spice and warmth; Taransaud brings cedar, tobacco, and austere  mineral structure. On the palate — dense, concentrated, with substantial  purposeful tannins and a long mineral finish built for decades of development.

Cabernet Franc

red mountain ava • washington state 2023

Red Mountain AVA is Washington’s most acclaimed small appellation —  a southwest-facing slope receiving nearly two hours more direct sunlight  daily than Napa Valley. Sandy loess soils, strong winds, and a 45°F diurnal  swing produce wines of remarkable concentration and longevity.

Cabernet Franc here achieves full phenolic ripeness without losing its defining aromatic character. Ripe  uit, firm structured tannins, and floral, iron-edged elegance — rare qualities this hillside delivers with consistency.

Petite Sirah

STONETREE VINEYARD · WAHLUKE SLOPE 2023

StoneTree Vineyard sits on the south-facing slope of the Saddle  Mountains near Mattawa — one of Washington’s warmest, most  sun-drenched viticultural sites. Fractured basalt, Ice Age silt loam, six inches of annual rainfall, and low fertility force vines into natural stress that concentrates flavor to an exceptional degree.

Columbia River proximity delivers rapid evening cooling that locks in natural acidity. Petite Sirah thrives here because it demands what this site delivers: heat to ripen fully, poor soils to concentrate, and cool nights to keep powerful  uit honest.

STONETREE VINEYARD · WAHLUKE SLOPE 2023

StoneTree Vineyard sits on the south-facing slope of the Saddle  Mountains near Mattawa — Washington’s warmest, driest viticultural  site. Planted in 2000 on  fractured basalt and Ice Age silt loam with just

six inches of annual rainfall. Columbia River cooling at elevation  preserves the acidity that keeps such powerful  uit honest.

Co-fermenting Viognier with Syrah — a tradition  om Côte-Rôtie — adds floral li  and complexity Syrah alone cannot produce. Mourvèdre brings structure and spice.  ese three varieties were always meant to share a ferment.
